Why should I choose Montreal?

I'm from Peru, South America and my sister gave me this huge opportunity to come here and study an English certificate at McGill.
It was my first time out from South America and I can say that in this 10 months living here I've fell in love of Montreal <3

My biggest dream was to touch the snow and see it falling from the sky. I arrived in winter and I could enjoy the whole season. I'm from a hot and dry area in Peru so it kinda drove me crazy at the beginning because It's too cold. However, there's nothing compared with seeing the snowflakes and its lovely star forms.

You know, here in Montreal people feel proud for its 4 perfectly defined season. I must tell you that actually you have 2. Winter and summer. You will freeze 8 months of the year and melt 4 months... If there's something I hate is the sun! Summer is way too hot! We reached 40°!!! Are you kidding mee??? 40°! That was crazy!

Also,  it is too nice to see people having fun on the streets because of the festivals! I went to the Jazz festival that was quite good...  and something called Diverscité-la fete gaie de Montréal-Yes, gay party!- AND IT WAS AMAZING! I'm not lesbian, but I went. There, gay people were listening great electronic music, drinking beer, dancing... god you could feel their positive energy every where! I loved it! it was in july, don't miss it!

Another reason to love Montreal is the variety... you can find Chinese, Japanese,Indian, Italian, Peruvian, Spanish, Venezuelan, Mexican, Lebanese, Korean FOOD! yeahh FOOD! and try every kind of food! You'll love it!

Another good reason, you will find people from every where! Montreal is a city with lots of immigrants! Arabic, Latin, European, Asian... from everywhere!-Of course, Canadian and Montrealers! - And I am admired for all that I've learned from them! It's incredible! We live in the same world but it doesn't seem to be! We are sooo different according to where we come from... Anyway,  People is beautiful!-I'm talking about the immigrants-

I have to say that it's exactly that, the diversity of cultures, what makes Montreal the perfect city! If you come from south america, you will note that here everyone is the same! people don't believe they are better because they have a better job or they use better clothes... here you can wear what the hell you want and nobody will look at you with that weird face :S . They accept people and judge them for what they are and not what they look like-Don't go to the extreme of wearing jeans for a job interview ¬¬- Montreal is amazing!

I am vegetarian. Here, you will find every kind of vegetarian options everywhere! Also, I loved the transportation system. It's very organized and quiet. It is a green city. People do care about our planet and recycle as much as they can-something I loved. I'm a green person!- They respect animals a lot! .

It is just another world! You won't find poverty here! The government helps people without work, provides them food and the necessary for living in the right conditions.


I can go on! ^^ So, come here and i swear you will love Montreal!
